I find it hard to believe that it has been roughly two and a half years since thinkertees.com went online. It all began with an idea I had for selling t-shirts based on current topics of interest. I hadn’t gotten past the idea stage when my older son Eddy decided to take on the creation of this business as his high school senior exit project. Needless to say he learned a lot: setting up the account with Cafe Press (our t-shirt fulfillment house), designing and uploading the t-shirt graphics, and coming up with the content describing each shirt. Although I had a few initial ideas for shirts, Eddy was soon coming up with his own, including “got engineers?” (which, by the way, I thought was great).
After Eddy graduated high school and went on to college to study, interestingly, business and accounting, thinkertees.com went into “autopilot” mode and didn’t receive much attention or TLC. Until now.
The thinkertees site has morphed from essentially a site about t-shirts into a blog designed to cover current topics of interest, and to elicit feedback on such topics. Yes, there will still be t-shirts, but they will be ancillary to the discussion. The goal of the site is to be a forum from which topics can be discussed in a fresh way - with a twist or a new perspective that might not have been considered before.
I hope you enjoy the new site. We covet your feedback as it will help to make thinkertees the most interesting, intellectually stimulating blog it can be.
